Our Website Design Agency Supported the BSIA with its Brand Refresh & Website Redesign
Brainiac Media helped The British Security Industry Association (BSIA) by redesigning their website and refreshing their brand. The BSIA is a trade association for the professional security industry in the United Kingdom. Their members are responsible for more than 70% of privately provided UK security products and services.
Brainiac Media was contracted to redesign the BSIA website and deliver a brand refresh.
What we did
Brainiac Media worked closely with The BSIA to redesign their front-facing website and assets to develop a bespoke website that feeds into their customised membership management software.
The BSIA looked to us for help in their website redesign. It was important to them that their front-facing website was an accurate depiction of who they were and spoke to their target audience. We began the project by sketching out different user interface layouts for the varying web pages. By doing this we were able to form a much better idea of how they wished to present the content when users would use different types of devices like tablets, mobile phones, computers, and desktops. Making sure that their vision was being brought to life was important to us, as it always is. This was also important from a user experience (UX) standpoint as we wanted to make sure that their users could navigate through the website and find information easily.
Once our web design team had finalised the wireframe stage, we progressed to the web design and development phase of the project. In the web design and web development phase, we focused on constructing the unique elements that would communicate to whoever lands on the website the BSIA’s brand. By implementing colourways, typography, design, and imagery we were able to take the custom designs and develop them in a bespoke framework to allow the BSIA to integrate their front-facing website and their customised membership management system. This allowed them to better engage with their members and enabled them to measure metrics and data more effectively through data integration that fed into their dedicated members portal, to improve and capture key data points, with the ability to create reports on memberships, content engagement, and purchases. All of this enables the BSIA to deliver a much more comprehensive membership experience.
We also developed specific algorithms that provide improved search functionality, so that users can find key information on member services on the website, so as to improve website functionality, engagement and use, while promoting their members' services.
The result was a new website with a refreshed brand image that was created and designed in a way that accentuated simplicity and user-friendliness. Whilst the design was constructed to feel modern, clean, and informative. The website implements a user experience and user interface design that centrally focuses on elevating the user journey through the website to maintain user engagement for longer and utilise user attention to interact with the website's key content.
